Itinerary

Lake Manyara National Park is a small park near the Great Rift Valley. It is most famous for its thriving bird life and tree-climbing lions. Aside from that, there is a wide range of wildlife to see, including grazers such as elephants, zebras, impalas, giraffes, wildebeests, and hippos, as well as predators such as lions and hyenas. The forest is home to numerous bird species, as well as flamingos and other water birds on the lakeshore.

The tour begins in Arusha at 07:30hrs with a pick-up from your hotel, followed by a 2-hour drive to the stunning Manyara National Park. When you arrive at the park’s entrance, you will be greeted by a group of monkeys, where you can begin photographing them for your memories. Ascertain that your valuables are securely stored.

The driver-guide will take you around the park to see the various natural wonders on offer. You will have a picnic lunch and then go on a game drive until late afternoon when you will be dropped off in Arusha.

NB: When taking a day trip to Manyara, you can include a visit to a village for a cultural experience (at extra cost). Masai village for a Maasai experience, or Mto wa Mbu village, to learn about the cultural practices of more than ethnic groups that are found in Tanzania. Each tour lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours and is led by a local guide.
