8 Days Premium Safari

On this safari, you will visit the best parts of some well-known parks in northern Tanzania. The tour starts at Tarangire, noted for its high wildlife population than to Ngorongoro crater, which houses a year-round resident population of species. The next stop is Serengeti, home to approximately 3 million huge creatures and a haven for big games. Last but not least, we travel to the Lake Manyara National Park, a haven for birdwatchers and home to the elusive tree-climbing lions.

Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport and be greeted by a Tecomate Tours and Safari driver. Your driver will keep your bags in the vehicle’s luggage compartment and transport you to your hotel in Arusha city for leisure and overnight.

After breakfast, we depart for Tarangire national park. In the afternoon, we will have a game drive where you can see giant baobab trees, rolling savannah and acacia parkland. This park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular in the dry season between June and September. It is during this period that thousands of animals- wildebeest, zebra, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, and onyx migrate from the dry Masai steppe to the Tarangire river in search of water while the predators such as lions, and leopards follow close by.

We head off to the Ngorongoro conservation area, which is located near the crater’s rim. The crater is then explored in the afternoon. The 600-meter plunge to the crater bottom, a stunning natural amphitheatre, kicks off the game drive. The 260 sq. km.-long crater is one of nature’s wonders and a popular tourist destination in and of itself. You may easily see lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and other species of plain animals in the crater, which is home to a year-round resident population of a variety of wildlife.

We travel through the Olduvai gorge on the way to Serengeti National Park. This is the ancient location where Dr Louis Leakey found the remains of homo habilis, which is thought to be the ancestor of modern humans. More than 35 species of plain animals, including zebra, wildebeest, eland, and giraffe, can be seen in the Serengeti during an afternoon game drive.

The park is the staging zone for one the most spectacular events in the world- the annual migration of wildebeest. This commences around June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head for the Masai mara in Kenya in search of greener pastures. They are followed closely by the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The Serengeti also has over 500 species of birds.

After breakfast, we will have a morning game drive in Serengeti. Then, we will proceed to our lodge in Karati for leisure and overnight.

A morning game drive at Lake Manyara National Park where 70% of which is occupied by the lake. The varied ecosystem consists of groundwater forests, acacia woodland and open grassland along the lake shore and sustains a wealth of wildlife, including the big five -lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo. The park is famous for the elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the rift valley.
