Waking up in the Serengeti is a truly unforgettable experience. The sights, sounds, and scents of Africa surround us, and a full day of adventure awaits us in the world’s most famous national park. Every year, around 1.5 million wildebeest and 300,000 zebras (along with other antelope) collect their young and begin their long journey from Tanzania’s Serengeti Plains north to Masai Mara National Reserve, following the rains in search of food and water. Their voyage is in a clockwise circle, and the animals travel over 3000 kilometers, killing an estimated 250 000 wildebeest as they navigate rivers and face frequent attacks from crocodiles, lions, and other predators. Our journey is intended to follow the migration as it tracks northwards, moving with the herds to experience their efforts crossing the rivers and facing the attacks of the crocodiles. We will have a break for a humper lunch in the bush. At sunset, we return to our tented camp. Dinner will be served at your camp followed by a good night’s rest.

Even more so when you arrive at the edge of the crater and take in the amazing view over one of the natural wonders of this world. Steep volcanic walls conceal Ngorongoro Crater, a pristine wilderness with sweeping savannah, acacia woodland pockets, glistening lakes, and swamps. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, and when you reach the crater floor, you will quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species.
