The drive itself offers a chance to witness the Serengeti’s diverse habitats and wildlife. Early morning after breakfast, you will continue exploring the vast plain of Ndutu with millions of plain dwellers, over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flowing south from the Central Serengeti at the end of December Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, is part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephants, birds, and resident games. After the game drive, drive to your accommodation for your dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and drive to central Serengeti. The drive will take about two hours in the wilderness. The central portion of the Serengeti – known as the Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. In Seronera, one must look out for the many lion prides that thrive in this region. You must also look out for the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass. They provide ample shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Following a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, a final morning game viewing will be conducted to marvel at the natural beauty of the Serengeti. After breakfast, you will wind your way toward Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying more wonderful sights on the way! After an entire afternoon inside the crater, you will drive to your accommodation in the park. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area will amaze you and we’ll offer you a walking safari for more adventure. Even more so when you arrive at the edge of the crater and take in the amazing view over one of the natural wonders of this world. Steep volcanic walls conceal Ngorongoro Crater, a pristine wilderness with sweeping savannah, acacia woodland pockets, glistening lakes, and swamps. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, and when you reach the crater floor, you will quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.
After the crater tour ascend and drive back to your lodge in Arusha city or proceed to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.
